about Brad
Brad Reist started his first company BJ Industries in 2012, Welding in a small shop near Mount Forest he built up his business bit by bit from a 600 sq. ft. one person facility to a thriving 9000 sq. ft. production welding establishment in Kenilworth.
Naturally a visionary, he dreamed of building a hydraulics division that could finally meet the local demand and bring a fully equipped hydraulic shop to the community. Unsure of how to turn that vision into reality, he crossed paths with Jason Nelles — and together, the two of them jumped into the venture with full momentum.
A godly company culture is very important to Brad and he strives to make this his foremost priority in his day to day.
Unless the Lord builds the business, the work of the business is wasted.

Jason Nelles joined the team in 2024, bringing with him years of industry experience. In his roles is General Manager and Sales Manager Jason’s vast experience in business, sales, and hydraulics is invaluable to BJ Hydraulics strong team culture.
Jason strongly believes in good old fashioned, customer first, service.
